FAQs

What if the weather is bad?

The Captains most important concern is the safety of his customers. If the weather is bad enough to not leave the dock, we will wait it out for a period of time that is acceptable to both customer and Captain. If the weather stays bad for the entire day, I will gladly re-book your trip to another day or refund your deposit.

My Coast Guard license allows me to take 6 passengers for hire. The average group is 3 or 4 passengers.

Can people come on the boat that don't fish?

Of course. We have several groups that come and the ladies will read a book and enjoy the sunshine while there husbands catch the biggest fish of their lives. And visa-versa. We do Lake and dinner cruises also, so everyone can just enjoy the sights of our area.

What happens to the fish we catch?

The Captain suggests you bring a large cooler to transport your catch at the end of the day. The fish will be cleaned and bagged for you before you leave the boat.

We like to leave the dock at 6:00AM. We normally do not need to travel very far from Sodus Point to begin fishing. We will return to the dock at 2:00PM. On a half day trip we will return to the dock at 11:00AM. Longer days are available at a rate of $75.00 per hour.

What about children on the boat?
